Manhigut Olah Ba’Academia  – "Rising Leadership in Academia" program, in collaboration with Mifal HaPais (the Israel National Lottery)

Offers you an opportunity to initiate and lead social activities while also receiving a scholarship of 10,000 NIS, in addition to full tuition assistance provided by the Minhal HaStudentim.

About the Program

The Rising Leadership in Academia program, in collaboration with Mifal HaPais, is a leadership initiative aimed at strengthening the sense of social capability and leadership awareness among young immigrant students in Israel.

 

The program consists of 160 hours throughout the year and is structured as follows:

  • 90 hours of volunteering in one of the Shahak frameworks recognized by this program (approximately 4 hours per week).

  • 30 hours of social entrepreneurship – leading a project or social event for the benefit of the community.

  • 40 hours of training in leadership and entrepreneurship: 10 weekly group sessions focused on cultivating social awareness and developing identity-based leadership discussions.

Who is the program for?
It is designed for Olim students required to complete Shahak during the 5785 academic year. Admission to the program is contingent on maintaining a full course load of 40 annual credit points.

Where does the program operate?
The program operates in five locations:

  • Jerusalem

  • Ariel

  • Haifa

  • Be'er Sheva

  • Tel Aviv

Note: Groups will open subject to the number of participants in each region.

When does it start?
The program begins in November 2024 and ends in late June 2025.
